I won’t pretend I am a some sort of baseball fan. In fact I know nothing about it apart from that they run around for some reason. Pardon my ignorance but baseball isn’t really a Polish thing, so I have never had a chance to explore it further until today.

My friend Yasuhiro found a match here in Tokyo’s stadium, so I decided to give it a shot. I enjoy sport, so I couldn’t imagine having a bad time anyway. We didn’t need any reservation, so we just purchased tickets at the counter and walked in.

The most exciting part for me was to learn the rules. Yasuhiro kept explaining them as the game developed, so I could know if to cheer or boo (otherwise I would just follow the crowds).

Yokohama Baystars destroyed the opponent, but I heard no other outcome was expected due to a skill difference between the teams.

Following the match, we popped into a sport court where we could practice hitting a ball with a baseball bat. I wasn’t actually that bad. Managed to hit 8 balls out of 20! =)

Great times.
