Joanna got a tattoo and I got new glasses. You know, one of those long-term souvenirs.
Apparently Japanese lenses are the highest quality in the World, so I didn’t hesitate to give it a shot. Considering their eye for a design I couldn’t find myself a better opportunity to refresh my look.
The eye test was the most uncertain part. I mean choosing glasses from the shelf is a fairly straightforward process and even though it can take long, you don’t need a shop assistant. The trouble is with getting all the sight measurements when no one speaks English.
I visited one of the finest eyewear merchants in Tokyo hoping they can communicate with me. And they could indeed! The guy that was helping me knew the story of every designer and frame on the shelves.
The board where you read letters from consisted of hiragana characters, so that was an interesting experience.
Without further ado, this is the effect. Enjoy my new face.
