We all know Japan is famous for themed restaurants. Tokyo itself has the biggest concentration of those nation-wide. Every one will find something for themselves: ninja theme, robots theme, Alcatraz prison theme…

However, if you are all about bringing back your childhood memories and happen to wander around Tokyo Dome City shopping centre, make sure to pop into the Moomin Bakery & Cafe.

Interior, food, drinks, cutlery, stuff and shop are all about our little friends. Coffee’s froth has a character of your choice painted on it, rice balls are carefully shaped like a Hattifattener, tables and walls are full of doodles and drawings of heros and throughout the entire meal you can enjoy a company of a 30 inch tall moomin plushy. They like selfies they say.

Like in all themed restaurants and cafes, food quality has gotten a bit lost in all the moomin hype. Of course customer service is perfect, food is hot, but average and price is very steep. Eating together with Little My or Snufkin doesn’t come cheap apparently!
